Privacy notice
For this website, the public demo and pilot requests. Last updated 4 November 2026.
Who we are
Sealbook is run by Dhiraj Khivasara, Pune, Maharashtra, India, while the company is being formed; this notice will name the company once it exists. Contact: hello@getsealbook.com.
What this notice covers, and what it doesn't
It covers getsealbook.com, the public demo, and requests you send us. It does not cover data inside a firm's own copy of Sealbook: there the consulting firm decides what is collected, and our role (if we run that copy) is set out in the data processing agreement with that firm.
What we collect
- Visits to this website and the demo: which page, the referring site, campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source), country, and a visitor code that changes every day so we can count visitors without following anyone. We do not store your IP address and set no cookies. Browsers that send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control are not counted, nor are known bots.
- In the public demo: which tour steps were reached and which sample actions were taken, by name only (for example "a decision agreed by both sides"). Your browser keeps which sample person you chose and your private demo's code, in its own storage on your device.
- Anything you type into the demo is stored on the demo server with your private sample project and deleted with it, at the latest after 48 hours. Don't put real information into the demo.
- A pilot request: your name, work email, company, role, and what you tell us about your projects.
- Emails you send us.
Why
- Visit and demo counts: to see which pages and outreach work and where the demo loses people (our legitimate interest in running and improving the site).
- Pilot requests and emails: to answer you and discuss a pilot (steps you asked us to take).
- Error reports from the servers: to fix faults. They contain no content and no names.
Who else sees it
PostHog (visit and demo counts, United States), Render (hosting), Cloudflare (network protection), and our email provider for pilot requests. The full list, and what each sees, is on the trust centre. We don't sell personal data or use it for advertising.
How long
- Visit and demo counts: as long as they are useful for comparison, at most 24 months.
- Pilot requests and email: 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a customer, in which case our agreement applies.
- Demo content: deleted within 48 hours.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or object to it being used, by emailing hello@getsealbook.com; we answer within 30 days. Depending on where you are, India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, the GDPR or other laws give you these and other rights, and you can complain to your data protection authority. Turning on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser stops visit counting.
Changes
If this notice changes in a way that matters, the date above changes and we say what changed at the top of this page.
